WOW! What an amazing and talented bunch of creatives we have here!
Since we just opened our doors and everyone here was barely settled in, it just seemed like a good idea (excuse) to have a party. The gathering gave us a chance to say hello to our neighbors and find out what is is they do behind all those interesting doors up and down the halls here. And our thanks go out to Dana Beck (Studio #8) for snapping off some pix of the event and sharing them. Below are a few of the shots she got off of some of the folks who were there (before the beverages hit home).
Alex & Daniel - our resident, Emmy winning video gurus...and a couple of really great guys.
Jason - One of the painters here (he's actually a very friendly guy..that's just his "serious artist" face).
Justin - Another of the city's "hot young painters to watch".
Paule & Hubby - Fab fabric artist who does shows all over the US.
Leslie - Too talented to pin down. She paints, she draws, she does some 3D..and...she has some retro clothing to die for.
Galina - While the rest of the photo world is going digital, she specializes in the the most ancient form of the craft...colloidal silver on glass plates. Very cool.
And then there's Dana - Don't let her looks fool you. She's a mild mannered photog by day...a ruthless, bloodletting Roller Derby Queen by night. Ouch!
I really hope everyone had a good time and got to know a few of their cultured & creative counterparts here at the Hardy & Nance Street Studio Complex. Together we are going to take over the world!
